Casa De Seguridad, 2010.
population: five hundred and thirty one
Children with extreme gifts have been born to parents all over the world and have been kept a well guarded secret until this point in time. These gifted children have been exposed to the world, so anyone knows they have a unique gift. Companies have started taking these children and using the gifts for their own good, killing them off when they are done.
But there is one small island. So small, that it isn't even found on maps, called casa de seguridad, meaning safe house, who take these people, children, teens and adults in and keep them from the laboratories and companies. The children and teenagers are schooled through college, taught how to use their gifts, and then housed with the adults, and the adults are given small, working class jobs.
The only problem is that you are not allowed to leave the island, in fear of the outside world getting to know what lies behind the walls of CDS. Everything you would ever needs lies behind those walls. No need in going outside. But some people are getting a little rebellious. How much time is left until this little community is thrown to the wolves?
