AS DUSK FALLS ...
Since the invention of synthetic blood, Vampires have been able to co-exist with humans when the dusk falls. As with all things controversial; the humans’ opinions divided. Rebellious hate groups and unexpected allegiances began to form in response to the humanisation of the modern Vampire.
Sookie Stackhouse had always felt like she was different. Hearing people's thoughts her entire life set her back a little. It was all one big muddle, too many thoughts, and too many unwelcome scenarios. Until one day there was silence. Meet Bill Compton, Bon Temp's first Vampire. It wasn’t long before the whirlwind romance swept the Sookie off her feet.
Their relationship grew with intensity, as did the murder toll in Bon Temps. Fascination and fear became common place as the town folk speculated and accused. Bill and Sookie ignored the locals, but Bill could not ignore a voice of power. Eric Northman, who slowly but surely began to take an interest in the telepath.
Things are beginning to get out of hand in Bon Temps. More vampires are going missing, and it appears there's a rise in illegal sales of vampire blood... who's capturing and draining the vampires? Will Sookie & Bill stand the test of time...? What are Eric’s real intentions? Bon Temps is about to become pretty dangerous... but with danger there is always a spell of excitement...
